Canadian Provinces with the Easiest PR Process in 2023

Several nominee programmes exist, each with a different set of eligibility conditions. Provinces can respond to their own particular immigration demands thanks to PNPs. PNPs typically seek applicants with experience in in-demand professions because they are intended to fill labour market vacancies.

We are frequently asked which Canadian Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is the most user-friendly for foreign applicants looking to move to Canada. A connection to the province is frequently required by PNPs in order to be nominated, such as a job offer, employment history, or educational qualification. However, some PNPs only accept individuals who can fill demographic or labour shortages.

Express Entry and the International Skilled Worker Program in Saskatchewan

The province of Saskatchewan, which is situated in Canada’s prairies, has grown in popularity as an immigrant destination as a result of its robust economic growth and employment prospects.

The International Skilled Worker PNP in Saskatchewan’s Occupations In-Demand and Express Entry streams are intended to draw in candidates who have expertise in the in-demand professions in the territory. Candidates are manually chosen for these International Skilled Worker streams utilising an Expression of Interest (EOI) mechanism.

An EOI must be submitted by applicants with a minimum of least one year of experience in a field that is not on the SINP’s Excluded Occupations List. In addition, qualified applicants must be bilingual in English or French and have finished at least one year of post-secondary education. An applicant can submit an EOI profile if they satisfy Saskatchewan’s minimum eligibility requirements, which include earning at least 60 points on their Levels Assessment Grid. After that, submitted profiles are taken into account for one of SINP’s EOI draws. In SINP EOI draws, only candidates with the highest-scoring SINPs and in-demand professions are invited.

Alberta’s Express Entry Stream

Several of Canada’s most prosperous cities, like Calgary and Edmonton, are found in the western province of Alberta. Alberta is a notable province for potential immigrants, with a booming job economy and excellent educational institutions.

Candidates who choose to seek a provincial nomination are chosen by the Alberta Express Entry stream from the federal Express Entry pool. One key advantage of this stream is that it accepts Express Entry applicants with CRS scores as low as 300, increasing the number of applicants who will be eligible to hear from the province via a Notification of Interest.

Note that receiving an invitation from Alberta’s Express Entry stream does not depend on having a CRS score of at least 300. The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program does not disclose the extra targeted criteria, however it does disclose the CRS score of the applicant who received the lowest invitation in each round. One’s chances could be improved by the following elements:

  • An Albertan permanent resident or citizen who is a qualified relative
  • Employment in Alberta or work experience
  • A diploma obtained after completing post-secondary studies in Canada

Priorities for Ontario’s Human Capital Stream

The thriving city of Toronto and its expanding tech-jobs sector bring many immigrants to Ontario, which is Canada’s most popular immigration destination. As a result, the province has a considerable allotment set aside for assisting immigrants through PNP programmes.

Even though it has one of the largest quotas of any province, Ontario wants to bring in even more immigrants. In order to address the labour shortfall in the province, Ontario’s Labour Minister Monte McNaughton recently asked for a doubling of the number of immigrants permitted under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) from 9,000 to 18,000 immigrants.

Ontario’s Human Capital Priority stream is a fantastic choice for folks who reside outside of Canada. This stream gives priority to qualified candidates who can work in the province’s skilled jobs.

Using the federal Express Entry programme, the Human Capital Priorities also functions. A CRS score of 400 points or more, along with an active Express Entry profile, is required for prospective applicants. Ontario looks over all Express Entry profiles and selects a subset of them to send invitations to apply to the PNP. These invitations are often based on a set of NOC codes and a predetermined range of CRS numbers.
